This is my first year at Sheldon ISD. I can already tell this is a resilent and kind community. The motto is "Dream Big, Work Hard." I am ready to implement that sentiment with the students. I want them to know this motto extends to their goals in school and beyond.
I have taught in other school districts and have taught all grade levels from Kindergarten to Fifth grade. I wanted to be a teacher early in life. I thought it was the best thing to teach others read and watch them be successful. As I grew up I knew I wanted to continue teaching. I also discovered that students need an advocate for them if they need it and I wanted to be a part of that.
Graduating from San Jacinto College, Southwest Texas State University (now Texas State), and Lamar University has helped me prepare for the classroom. San Jacinto (Associate Arts in Directorship of Day Care), taught me how to work with three, four and five year olds. Southwest Texas State (Bachelor of Arts), showed me how to deliver content to from four year olds to sixth graders. From Lamar University (Master of Arts), I increased my education by graduating with a degree for Administraton Leadership. I am ready to go. With the knowledge I have gained, from education, my peers, and the community we are ready to Dream Big and Work Hard.
